  • Approximately 800,000 women served in the Soviet Armed Forces in the Second World War.
  • This set represents female Soviet Soldiers in the second half of the war. They wear M43 blouses and the decorations typical of a resurgent Red Army from 1943 onwards. Heads wear SSh-40 helmets, pilotka side caps, and the female only beret. Plash-palatkas rain capes provide protection from the environment. They carry typical small arms of the mid-late Soviet Army including M91/30 Mosin rifles, PPSh-41 and PPS-43 submachine guns, and the DP-28 light machine gun. An aid bag and dressing is also included.
