Fydos have been incorporated into the Fidwogger militaries throughout its history. Fidowggian fydos are particularly robust creatures bred for generations to live and thrive in the mountains of Fidwog. Most Fidwoggian fydos weigh as much, if not more, than the average quar.
In the FOD the fydos serve multiple roles. In the infantry they carry medical supplies and equipment and have been trained to respond to the calls of the wounded in the midst of battle without fear. The cavalry units of the FOD deploy them as scouts and trackers as they move
through the unfamiliar Creevish countryside. The sapper brigades use them to defend tunnel
entrances and the tunnels themselves as the Glaeferin work to undermine enemy positions or to build their own defensive works.
